This surprise engagement proposal was perfect. Morgan and Kevin are super nice and cute, and we got all the sunset colors.
Kevin reached out when he was planning the proposal. And after meeting him on a call I was very excited for Scott and I to be his accomplices.
Sunset picnics is something they enjoy doing. So it made sense that he planned to propose after enjoying dinner watching the sunset on the beach. Scott and I arrived to Sunset Beach before them, and sat passed the small crowd to give them a bit of privacy. I liked their idea and we had our lobster rolls on the beach. That gave us have extra time to look at the setting and plan the details.
A little while later we saw Kevin and Morgan walk into the beach. They hung out eating sushi while we kept an eye on them. I asked Kevin to try to gather the trash before he did the thing, so when he started cleaning up we got ready. Everything was looking great, and suddenly as he was getting, a bunch of people started walking around them. I didn’t want Morgan to see my camera before he asked, so we had to move fast. Thankfully we worked around it, and with a little extra time in photoshop it looks like it’s just the two of them.
After that they saw us, I was able to give them a hug and talk for a minute. When Morgan told me she was a little suspicious, he said she knows him better than he knows himself. My eyes might have gotten a little foggy.
After that, we gave them a minute to gather their things and their thoughts. Then took more photos with the pastel sunset on the beach. It was such a good day, and even better than that, they are officially engaged and loved the photos!
M&K, if you read this, thank you so much! We had the best time.
And a few 35mm film frames
Not sponsored (sadly), but this photos were fueled by Quincy’s Original Lobster Rolls, as most of our sessions after 12pm in Cape May, unless they are closed for the season which is always very sad.
