Brecknock Hall wedding — Greenport, NY

I am so happy the stars aligned and we ended up being here with Amanda and Matt.

We first met them when Amanda went to Instagram while planning a trip to Cape May and saw our post from a wedding a few days before and reached out to see if we could do their engagement photos in Cape May. A few days later we were meeting them by the beach, and a day with a scary forecast ended up being the cutest overcast day which let us have the beach almost all for ourselves and even had a dolphin stopping by at the end of the session (there are photos 😉).

Spending time with them is easy and fun, so I was thrilled when they asked us to photograph their wedding in Greenport the following year, and then even more excited when I saw the photos of Brecknock Hall.

So last fall we headed to Long Island to see them again and made a long weekend out of it. We drove to Hampton Bays the day before the wedding, were we found the cutest AirBnB within walking distance to the water. Then the next morning, we headed to Greenport to meet Amanda and Matt at Brecknock Hall. The venue is so beautiful. I love the character and details on this kind of old homes, and all the rooms seemed to have the most dreamy light. Once they were ready, Amanda had the sweetest first look with her father, and then we found the perfect spot for her and Matt to do a first touch, and share their private vows with each-other. Tears happened. From there, we headed to Saint Agnes Church for the lovely ceremony, and I love the little quiet and not so quiet moments that they shared there. Then we went back to the venue for portraits, some cocktail hour fun, very heartfelt and at times funny speeches and dances, and one of the most fun reception parties I’ve ever seen.

Amanda & Matt, thank you so much for everything. We would travel anywhere for you, just let us know and we will be there.
