Sunny Abbie Holmes Estate Wedding — Cape May Court House, NJ

Once upon a time I got an email from Debbie about her upcoming wedding at Abbie Holmes Estate. I had never been to Cape May, but after talking to her about her plans and seeing the photos, I was so excited to make this happen with her and Kyle, and after meeting them for their sunflower engagement session, I could not wait for this day.

I met the ladies in their AirBnB in Cape May, which had the best light by the way. After she got in her amazing dress with help from her mom, we headed to the lighthouse for their first look. It was busy there! But we found a spot for their first look, and it was the sweetest thing. I think Kyle closed his eyes and forgot the rest of the world. Then we took some wedding party photos, and went for a quick session at the beach. Totally worth the rush because the light at the beach is always so good. Sunny, rainy, I love and I will get my pants in that water to get you the photo.

Then we drove to the Abbie. It is beautiful in person too. We did a long list of family photos and then it was ceremony time. Kyle’s stepfather initiated it, and Debbie’s father officiated it. It was beautiful. The rest, the rest was also beautiful, lots of laughter, tears (I cry at weddings sometimes, a bit more than sometimes, but the words that were told for these guys really got to me), and I even got to see Theresa and Jeff again after doing their maternity and newborn sessions. Unfortunately Luke was too tiny for weddings and I didn’t get to see him that day.

So yeah, tons of reasons why I love this day and why it will always be one of my favorites.

Love you guys! Congrats on all you’ve accomplished since =).
