I’m doing something a little different today. I’m posting the album design for Mallory and Dylan’s wedding instead of the normal tiled gallery. Lately we’ve been having a lot of calls with couples and talking about albums. So I’ll share my thoughts, along with the photos of this sunny wedding at the beautiful Manor at Mountain View.
Truth is, you don’t need an album, just like you don’t need wedding photos. But if having photographs of your wedding is important to you, then the best way to re-live the day and preserve the photographs, is with an album. I can see the beauty in gallery walls, I know relatives will frame your portrait and maybe put it on the mantel, but what I believe the most in are albums. They are the best at telling a story, at sharing the feel of the day, at keeping all your favorite images and moments together, and they’ll never become a as tricky to watch as a VHS tape is now.
Because I feel this way, I have a lot of options from two different labs, starting with my beloved little 6×9-inch Signature Albums, to the more polished and luxe Bespoke Albums. I stand behind all of them. And if none of those options are right for you, please just find a way that works for you to see and hold your photos in real life, instead of always seeing them through a screen.
Go through the slides to see the pages of the album I designed with Mallory and Dylan’s wedding photos, and all the way at the end you can see a photo of the actual album, an 8×12-inch beauty wrapped in green linen.
