This Long Island wedding was the best. They chose to get married on the 4th of July, which marked 4 years to the day they met. The ceremony took place at St. Patrick, then we stopped at Planting Fields Arboretum and the reception and very fun party took place at Watermill Caterers. It was beautiful to photograph. But more than that, Marcella, Vinny and their people are amazing. I still mean it when I say that it meant the world to me to be there.
I met Marcella when she did Amanda’s hair on this Greenport, NY wedding. We got to spend more time than usual with her because she stayed for touch ups. She’s so talented, and also the nicest person. So of course I shared the photos with her when I finished the gallery. At the time she responded with a very sweet message, that included saying she’d reach out when it was her turn to plan a wedding.
We stayed in touch on Instagram, and to my surprise, she actually did reach out when she got engaged! I really didn’t expect it, considering how many weddings she works in, and how many vendors and photographers she knows. We talked and got to meet Vinny over FaceTime and I was thrilled to be their photographer.
Their engagement session in Montauk, NY was perfect and it was awesome to get to know them more before the wedding. And other than being very hot and humid, the wedding was just as good. It was such a fun group of people, including the vendor team. I got to work with AJ Ingoglia all day, one of her best friends came out of retirement to do her flawless makeup, Planting Fields is stunning in person, Watermill Caterers was beautiful and the staff was so great which is just as important, INtense Events & Entertainment knows how to throw a party. Plus the flowers by Moonwake Meadow went perfectly with everything, especially the bridesmaids dresses in shades of pink, andI have to mention Blanche Bridal made Marcella’s custom dress, which was absolutely gorgeous.
A lot of fun and pretty things made for a very long gallery, with too many favorites to share here. But I did my best to narrow it down, and included one funny photo. I always include goofy, imperfect moments on the galleries, but usually not on the blog, but I snuck one here.
