We met Rachael and Matt for their engagement session in downtown Harrisburg. They had a specific vision in mind for that one, and also for their wedding. I had a great time with them. At the end of the session they told us all about their wedding plans at the Wythe Hotel, and it sounded so good. I honestly thought they already had a wedding photographer in Brooklyn, so when they reached out to see if we were available after they got their photos I was so excited.
They got ready at the Wythe, where I had a chance to take a few film photos while Rachael was getting ready. From there we went to their first look and portraits at the Bar Blondeau, which we had just for them before it opened, and after we took a ride to DUMBO for some portraits of the two of them. It’s the only thing we had to leave the hotel building for, which is always nice.
When it was time for their ceremony, Matt got Goose, their closest friends and relatives arrived and their friend did a great job officiating. I always like how personal ceremonies are when they are done by someone close to the couples. Once the ceremony was done, we did some family photos, cocktail hour candids and all that was left to do was dance and celebrate, and celebrate they did.
Thank you so much R+M for having us there with you.
