Photographing this wedding at the Lititz Springs Inn and the Mary Oehme Gardens (Lititz Museum) was very special to me. Colleen and Will are fun, great humans. I laughed a lot that day, but also, their venues are where my two first PA weddings took place, about 9 years ago.
My second ever wedding in Pennsylvania took place at the Inn. That was Melissa and Kyle’s wedding, which google still seems to like very much. They are two of my favorite humans to run into. I’ve had the honor of photographing them as a family when each of their daughters was born, and the weddings of five friends and relatives, that I have also seen in other weddings after… –I still can’t believe I have documented the weddings of so many of you but I am forever grateful-. My first PA wedding was Adrian and Ryan’s. It’s the only brunch wedding I’ve photographed (sadly). It took place at the Mary Oehme Gardens (my photo from 2015 is still on their website!), with some photos at Bulls Head at the end. I also got to see them again when I photographed Ryan’s sister’s wedding at the Carnegie Science Center and Pittsburg’s Children’s Museum. Full circle sounds like the end of something, so it’s not that, but something like it.
Back to this wedding. There’s so much to love. All the fall colors at the garden, unusually colorful fall flowers in the best way, that still felt like fall, green velvet dresses, happy family and friends, lots of laughter, vintage rings, maybe the cutest town in Central Pennsylvania.
