The Road not Taken – By Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Emily and Guy’s Wedding was such a beautiful day in every sense. Emily and Guy are both genuine and sweet human beings, and spending time around them is just easy. And of course the people who gathered around them to celebrate their wedding were a bunch of happy people to match.
The drive to the Cornwall Inn was a very pretty one, the rain had made everything lush and green, and I was in love with the place since we drove in. I love big trees, and the Inn is surrounded by trees in every direction, with a huge beautiful tree in the middle. When we arrived we met Guy, who was hanging out ready to go, and pointed me in Emily’s direction. There she was getting ready with a handful of ladies, and it was as usual one of my favorite parts to document.

After that it was time for the ceremony. The sun was bright and there were smiles on everybody’s faces as they listened to Guy and Emily’s story, from the broken shower, through the hikes that got them there. Then at the reception, Emily’s father read the poem at the beginning of this post, which I thought was beautiful. And after that, being as nice as they are, Emily and Guy sang and played for their guests during the delicious dinner service, and it was as pretty as it sounds.

Then we stepped outside to get a few photos before the sun was gone, remembering of course to get a few with Emily’s dad’s car.

When the sun was almost gone, it was time to cut the cakes. It was determined people do like carrot cake on weddings (for those thinking about it). And then Pine Barons played the song of their first dance while a friend of theirs sang, and from then on it was just happiness and fun with help from the awesome band, all the way through their last song, and the other last ones that followed.
