Before this session, and after, all the photos on my website are of real clients, documenting real life is what I love to do, but this one felt very close. Valeria from Vavilon Style reached out to put together this sailboat elopement session and she had me at sailboat. Thomas, from Tribeca Sailing joined as both the captain and what I called wedding practice with his fiancée Emily. We left from Jersey City because Emily was getting her hair and makeup done by Valeria closer to Liberty Landing Dock, but just so you know he also leaves from Pier 25 South Side Dock if you are in NYC. Emily wore a dress by Oksana Bessonova, who was there with us to style her, and last but not least, the beautiful bouquet was by Flower Heaven NYC.
Thomas and Emily were so great. Thomas has been sailing since he was a kid, and it was incredible to see him do it all the same time (be the captain, practice-groom and also take care of all of us abord). Emily is still not the biggest fan of the choppy waters, but she still did amazing. They are super fun and happy, and I think it shows.
I cannot wait to do this again for a real elopement, engagement session or a proposal could be so fun.
